Monday thru Friday morning beginning at 7 am and no later than noon. 

Scheduling Inspections

Inspections can be scheduled via eTRAKiT.

Please schedule your inspection 2 working days ahead of desired inspection date. 

For a limited time, the City will continue to accept inspection requests by phone (415) 927-5033. Phoned-in inspections will not be confirmed. Inspections are confirmed on eTRAKiT.

When requesting inspection by phone please provide the following information.

• Permit number
• Complete street address, including unit/suite numbers if any. (For commercial include tenant name)
• Contact name and phone number
• Day and time that you would like the inspection
• Monday thru Friday, 7 am-9 am
• Monday thru Friday, 9 am-Noon
• Type of inspection requested (for example framing, tear-off, plumbing final, etc.)

The Building Inspector is available at the Building Department counter Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 am and 10 am. The Inspector can answer questions by emailing inspections@cityoflarkspur.org or calling (415) 927-5033 and leaving a message.

Larkspur Municipal Code prohibit construction noise on holidays defined as “those days designated or observed as federal holidays: New Year’s Day, MLK Jr.’s Birthday, President’s Day, Memorial Day, June 19th, Independence Day, Labor day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.  No inspections will be conducted on those days or Columbus Day.

Permits expire:

To keep your permit active, you must have the work inspected within 180 days from the date of issuance. The City of Larkspur Municipal Code limits the total time permits can be active based on valuation. Permits valued up to and including $100,000 are valid for 12 months; permits valued up to $1,000,000 are valid for 18 months and; permits valued over $1,000,000 are valid for 24 months.
